‚Carli and the Sanctuary’ is a story about compassion, respect and responsibility. A story about a mindful coexistence between humans and other animals and about sustainability, for children from the age of three. Because we want to reach as many people as possible with our book, Carli’s story will be published in both German and English. In addition, with our book as a charity project, we will donate 5% of the proceeds to seven sanctuaries in Germany.
What is this project all about?
A children’s book on a mindful coexistence between humans and other animals and on sustainability is still difficult to find for the children from the age of three. From our own experience, however, we know that even small children are able to empathize with this topic if the way it is prepared is adapted to their age.
With ‘Carli and the Sanctuary’ we would like to show the children the different aspects of the livestock industry and its effects (ethical, health related and ecological) in a simple writing style. As children at this age are in most cases very accessible to emotions and comparisons with their own feelings, it is usually enough to explain and illustrate, for example, that the animals are sad, in pain or missing their mothers. We clearly focus positively on Carli’s visit at the sanctuary – on the change towards a mindful coexistence between humans and other animals. In this way we would like to promote the empathy of the children and lay a foundation stone for a respectful treatment of all living beings.
But that’s not all!
In addition, we would like to support the seven sanctuaries, which are represented by the different animals in our story, with our book as a charity project and will donate 5% of the proceeds to these sanctuaries.
And because we really care about every living being and our planet, ‘Carli and the Sanctuary’ and Carli’s little gimmicks will be consistently vegan, fair, sustainable, socially and ecologically produced.
Carli und der Lebenshof erscheint Mitte März 2020!
